My name is Lex and I am the creator of Cycle Breaker. This started as a t-shirt design I made a few years ago. It finally came to life this year and it has helped me connect with other Cycle Breakers. The meaning behind it is simple yet mighty. Being a Cycle Breaker is a form of breaking generational curses. When you grow up in a very toxic environment, it is easy to let it consume you. I chose a different path and sometimes I need a reminder that I cannot give up.

A reminder for me is sharing what I’ve experienced in my life and receiving feedback from other people that have had similar experiences. To be reminded that you’re not alone in this never ending healing journey, is a priceless feeling and reminder to keep going.

The biggest milestone in my Cycle Breaker journey was discontinuing contact with both of my parents. In order to heal, I had to learn to set boundaries to protect myself. We can’t pick the hand we are dealt, but we can pick if we sink of swim. I chose and continue to choose to swim even on the hardest days.
